- Org charts and job descriptions are turned into drop box under "Organizational charts" tab (both files are turned in under the same tab)
Org Charts and Job descriptions
- One person should only have one boss, but people higher in the company also have authority )
- There's a variety of ways that credit card tips can be forwarded to employees.
- POS systems are usually located in host station so that seating is recorded, but may also be placed around the restaurant for placing orders.
Menus
- Menus are a primary sales tool
- Anytime a guest is allowed to walk from the restaurant without an opportunity to buy dessert is a monetary loss.
Steps for Serving
- Greeting and seating: Guests don't come without expectations, but the first approach may set expectations for the evening. Seating system is critical to a well running and organized restaurant.
- Take order
- Serving: In drought states, water may not be immediately available or presented. Bottled water presents a huge profit! Try to not turn your back to customers (this may be a difficult task with booths. Catering is done all at once (clearing and serving)
- Clearing
- Check and good-bye
Job Descriptions
- Productivity is increased when people know what they're supposed to be doing.
- To be exempt from minimum wage and overtime laws, an individual must in a managerial position. Is usually on a salary.
